The InnoGear Essential Oil Diffuser has been working perfectly for my wife and me for over a year now and I like that it puts out a good amount of mist but now I have a new favorite, the URPOWER Essential Oil Diffuser. It is smaller than the InnoGear and features a one piece lid so it is faster to fill and it puts out just as much mist! We still keep the InnoGear on our nightstand and every night we use it before we go to bed, it helps us relax, I find that the peppermint essential oil helps clear my sinuses. I keep the URPOWER on my desk and use it while I’m working, both of these units automatically turns off when the water runs out and offers two modes of operation. The first is a continuously on mode and secondly, it can cycle on for thirty seconds then off for thirty seconds to extend the run time. Some of our favorite essential oils are Eucalyptus, Lavender, Orange, Peppermint, Lemon and Tea Tree! When buying essential oils make sure they are Organic and undiluted. Monoculture vs Polyculture is a big topic in farming circles today. If you look at nature you can see that it is natural for different plants to work together and benefit each other. The most well know human designed polyculture or guild is the Three Sisters, the Native Americans used this guild to produce corn, beans, and squash. The corn acts like a trellis for the beans and the squash act as a ground cover. Using this method they could produce more with less space, work less, and grow more nutrient dense foods.
I straight up love Dr. Bronner’s Soap! I have been using it for over 3 years now and I’m still finding new uses for it. I initially bought it to use as a body wash on a camping trip because it was biodegradable and safe for wildlife and plants. Even after that trip, I continued to use it as a body wash and now I use it for much more, there’s a good reason why they call it All in One Magic Soap!
The Zero Waste Challenge is a great way to start your journey towards a zero waste lifestyle. The challenge is to replace one single use item with a reusable one once a month. This slow start helps you to not get overwhelmed by the process. At first, it may be difficult but with time it gets easier, my wife and I like to make a game out of it. We try to see who can come up with best reusable replacement even if that means making some of our household products ourselves like toothpaste or shampoo.

Green Friday is a great alternative to what the majority of consumers do the day after Thanksgiving. The holiday season is truly my favorite time of year, but not because of the sales on Black Friday or the gifts. It’s something about the change in weather and the great food! I wanted to share a brilliant idea with you that can be so positive in so many ways. Just go outside and get into nature. Go for a hike or a walk just don’t go buy stuff. Feed your soul, recharge your spirit and get some exercise at the same time!

When I take notes I prefer to use my Boogie Board E-Writer, I keep it right on the refrigerator and can write down what I want to make for dinner or what I need to add to my grocery list. It really bothers me when I waste paper so I do my best to avoid it! When I used to use a notepad to take notes I would always add the information to my phone or computer and then end up throwing the paper note away, I mean I could compost it but it probably has nasty chemicals that I don’t want in my compost so I’d rather just use my Boogie Board E-Writer.
The Circular Economy is the future! As I have said in the past, “I believe that the modern day society we live in is out of balance with nature and inherently unsustainable. We live on a finite planet with finite resources, so we have to be smart how we use them, the change we need will not come from government but everyday people like you and me. I do what I think is right and hope that some will follow in my footsteps.” Check out the video below to learn more about The Circular Economy and keep reading to find out how you kan help make a difference!

Materialism is all bad, it’s so sad that things and the fear of losing those things can make people so crazy. Materialism can lead to depression, anxiety, and general unhappiness. Also, any concern for the wellbeing of our environment goes right out the window.
